Friends in the computer repair business

Comprehensive Computing has been fortunate to be able to partner with many computer repair businesses around the country. This includes 22 shops here in Southwest Virginia to date who outsource various repairs to us. Working together we are building a strong network that can better serve residential and business computer customers than we could individually. The direction in which Comprehensive Computing and our partners are taking our relationships is truly exciting. Together we exponentially increase our options for products and service nationwide. And, it's refreshing to know that most of us in the computer repair industry recognize the value of working together rather than rejecting opportunities on the grounds of competition and territorialism. It's funny how businesses grow when they embrace like businesses and learn from each other! We truly appreciate the opportunities we have been given to grow and learn from you.

Bad motherboard capacitors -- recap repair on desktop boards!

On many desktop computer motherboards the capacitors bulge or leak. When this happens, the power supply cannot provide consistent voltage to the motherboard. Symptoms of bad capacitors on a motherboard include:

  • No power to computer or intermittent loss of power
  • Computer restarts
  • Memory errors
  • Instability in performance

This happens due to low quality capacitors installed on the motherboard at the factory. Sometimes a bad power surge can damage capacitors as well.

We have a 97.2% success rate in recapping these desktop motherboards, replacing bad caps with high-quality ultra low ESR Rubycon capacitors. We do this for a low price of $69 when you send the motherboard only for repair. Call us at 276-964-2500 or email info@comprehensivecomputing.net for more information about our motherboard capacitor repair service.

Laptop LCD screen replacement

While many people think of Comprehensive Computing as the laptop DC jack repair place, we do quite a few LCD screen replacements in laptops as well. We see many broken or cracked LCD screens here for replacement, and in fact it has become one of our most common laptop repairs.

We replace many 14.1, 15, 15.4 and 17 inch LCD screens for less than any competitor we know. Installation of the new LCD screen is included with purchase as well. Most of the common LCD models can be replaced for $159 to $199 depending on the size. Turnaround time is typically 2 business days if we have the LCD screen in stock and 5 business days if we need to order the LCD screen.

Check out our laptop LCD screen replacement service at http://comprehensivecomputing.net/laptop_lcd_screen_replacement.htm for more details.
